• THE CROWDFUNDING COMMUNITY HAS THE CHANCE TO CHANGE MEDICAL RESEARCH

Traditionally, we've relied on governments, charities and industry to take care of the medical research that will ultimately help us if we and loved ones get sick. But far too often this system has failed - important research falls through the gaps in funding.

Life-changing projects are left without funding and billions suffer as a consequence. So now we're turning to the crowd!

Crowdacure is a brand new crowdfunding platform that ensures hard-to-fund medical research can make it to the labs. We're asking you to join our community and help make groundbreaking medical advances a reality.

We believe that crowdfunding helps unlock huge, world-changing innovation - and that doesn't have to be limited to consumer technology, design and the arts. It can unlock medical breakthroughs and end suffering, too.

Sign up below, and we'll let you know about the latest incredible medical research - and how you can make it happen.

  • Our latest campaign: changing the world for amputees

Phantom limb pain is one of the most severe pains in the world. It's the pain that exists for amputees in the limbs that are missing - and because the limb is gone it can't be treated. 7 million amputees globally suffer from this pain.

Despite the fact that amputation is a common complication for diabetes and cancer suffers, there have only been 33 research projects into phantom limb pain, ever.

This live Crowdacure project is raising money for groundbreaking and futuristic research into the treatment of this pain - using a brand new type of 3D hologram technology.

    At-home technology

The current treatments available for phantom limb pain are ineffective and carry side effects, they are too expensive and unfit for patients to use at home. The treatment this team is researching is designed to be suitable for at-home sessions, with no supervision and come without the price tag.

    Better effectiveness

One of the most fascinating pain relief method for phantom limb pain is the 'mirror box' treatment - using a reflection of the remaining limb to trick the brain. With 3D holograms in an at-home, gaming context - the research we're funding will make this even more effective.
